French Garde Mobile

The Garde Nationale Mobile, or “Moblots” as they were commonly referred to, was a force of about 400.000 reservists who formed the backbone of the republican defense along with the surviving fragments of the imperial army, after the disaster at Sedan and consequent collapse of the French Empire.
